From start to finish, we created a cohesive wedding design from the ceremony signage and stationery at every touchpoint to the reception essentials – like a seating chart and bar signs! Romantic Wedding Details
When Kelly and Dan shared their wedding day vision, I knew they loved the romantic and handwritten touches as much as I do. We added custom vow books, a sentimental favorite of mine, which matched the vibe of their invitations and other soft romantic wedding details. Vow books might not be in the spotlight on your wedding day, but they make an absolutely treasured keepsake for years to come (and they look much prettier than a crumpled piece of paper!). After all, vows are the most important part of any wedding day.
New Jersey Church Wedding Ceremony
Kelly and Dan got married at St. Catharine Church on June 26, 2021. Although we didn’t have many calligraphy elements at the ceremony, we strategically chose pieces that would have the biggest impact. We planned to place their welcome sign on a fun “bicycle built for two” outside the church. We also created ceremony programs for the guests to have something tangible to hold throughout the ceremony. The ceremony programs had their wedding party’s names, the bride and groom’s parents, the music, and the ceremony readings. The more you include, the more precious the keepsake (and yes, your closest friends and family will keep your ceremony programs as keepsakes!).
Spring Lake Golf Club Wedding Reception
Not that I have favorites – but I’m obsessed with how the reception decor all came together! It was a mix of classic and light neutrals, with some boho accents that absolutely have my entire heart. We incorporated watercolor calligraphy into their signage and stationery to complement the light and airy beachy vibe of their wedding. Greeting guests as they entered was a stunning acrylic seating chart (read more about my favorite seating chart ideas) and a custom cocktail sign. We also had a fun photo booth section with a polaroid camera for the guests, which was a hit all night!
The reception location was absolutely gorgeous. I was more than a little in love with the boho chandeliers. When you are considering where to “splurge” on your wedding decor, I always like to think about where your guests will spend the most time. Usually, it’s at their table during the reception. Kelly and Dan invested in gorgeous acrylic table numbers (which matched the seating chart), sea glass place cards, and thick paper menu cards. One of the things I love about calligraphy (and I’m admittedly a little biased) is that you can mix and match mediums (paper, acrylic, etc.) but if the handwriting is the same, it all flows effortlessly. I’ve always been a big fan of using a variety of styles you love and finding a way to bring them together cohesively so that it feels completely unique to you. Kelly and Dan did just that and the result was stunning.
