If you are reading this because you are looking to shop local and spend your Christmas budget with small businesses this year, I just want to start this gift guide by telling you how grateful I am for you. Seriously. While I know it isn’t always possible, I know I speak for so many small businesses when I tell you that every dollar you shop small or shop local counts. Thank you for helping make Hoboken & Jersey City the unique and wonderful places they are.
To help make your holiday shopping a little easier, I’m sharing some of my favorite small business gift guide finds in 2022 (and as a little bonus, I’ve found some that work for wedding favors too!). Thank you for shopping small.
I have to be honest, I wasn’t sure if I was even going to do ornaments this year!! After all, I just finished an incredibly busy wedding season. That being said, I was quickly reminded how much I absolutely love creating these custom ornaments for you, and how it instantly gets me in the holiday spirit. My heart fills with joy every time! The easiest way to shop and see what’s available is on my etsy shop. The deadline to order before Christmas is December 9th. As you’ll see in the shop, I have a variety of traditional round options but I also brought in some fun shapes if you (or someone you know) are celebrating their first home, baby, or fur friend!
Want to pick your ornaments up at my Hoboken shop? Use Code LOCALPICKUP to waive shipping.
The “absolute best place to find luxurious stocking stuffers” might seem like a lofty title, but trust me when I say that it’s worth heading to Margo Market to fill your stockings this year. Not only can you feel good about shopping here (all the goods they carry are ethically sourced for conscious consumers!). While I definitely recommend making a trip to shop there in person, you can find just a few stocking stuffer ideas online here. They also have a variety of gift ideas at every price point!
Another small business that I can confidently say has something for everyone on your list is the Washington General Store. They are one of my absolute favorite places to shop for home decor and local goodies (like the adorable “made in hoboken” onesie below). On top of that, I swear they always have the best smelling candles. Bonus: They even have a great “gifts under $20” section!
There is no shortage of incredible local coffee shops in Hoboken but I have to admit, the Hive has quickly risen to the top of my list this year. If you have a coffee lover on your list, I can guarantee they will love a gift card to the Hive. Or, if you prefer a physical gift, their housemade cold brew is 64 oz of pure happiness in a refillable growler.
If you are shopping for someone who prefers a glass of wine over coffee, Live Life Uncorked is one of my favorite shops! You can browse their etsy shop for custom creations. If you are looking for stocking stuffers, Live Life Uncorked has a variety of options at different price points (from keychains to coasters to cheese spreaders!). These make great wedding favors too!
One of my favorite places to shop online for holiday gifts is Union, and their deadline isn’t until December 16th to get your goods in time for Christmas. This newly opened woman-owned shop has everything you could ever need for the ladies on your shopping list – from throw pillows to gorgeous hoop earrings. On top of that, they also have a great selection of holiday goods too (how cute is this hot sauce ornament?!).
If you are looking for quality jewelry with unique designs for someone on your list (or for yourself…ain’t no shame!), there is no better place to shop than the Scheer Collection. With their boutique collection of gold and silver jewelry, you’ll find statement rings that actually feel comfortable to wear AND will last through workouts, doing the dishes, showers, you name it. If you’re looking for an investment piece of jewelry, these are a must-have in my opinion!
Hear me out on this – this is NOT your mother’s makeup anymore. I have been a longtime fan of their entire skincare line, but I also love their makeup and they have so many great stocking stuffers this year! As far as Makeup goes, my go-to look this holiday season has included this lip duo in vivid berry / luminous red. Seriously, if you haven’t given Mary Kay a try lately, don’t overlook them this year!
Looking for some personal recommendations? Reach out to Audra! While Mary Kay might not be a small business, she is! And I personally love supporting her and allowing her to help me feel like my most confident self!
That’s a wrap! I hope you have enjoyed my favorite gift guide ideas, and I want to thank you again for making an effort to shop locally this year. Just a reminder, the deadline to receive your custom ornaments by Christmas is December 9th this year. You can find my entire collection on Etsy. Have a small business you love to support that you think should be included this year? Send me a DM on Instagram! Happy Holidays!
